QB- Rotation was switched up a bit. Palandech got most of the early reps with the 1s. Stanton was with the 2s. Sneed 3rd. I think this is Sanchez sticking to what he said early on, that Stanton would not be handed the job, this would be a true competition. Best pass of the day was a 40 yard completion from Stanton to Woods.
RB-Campbell has looked really solid this spring. Very decisive, has shown quick feet and cutting ability for a 220lb kid.
WR-Boyd still nursing an injury. Woods had another solid practice. I think he and Pressley will be battling all through the fall for the #3 spot.
OL-Polu is looking to lock up one of the OG spots. Chevalier got a look with the ones today. Singer is still out, but getting close to returning. I don't think Lopez can hold off Chevalier or Singer.
SF-Mike Adams is coming off a concussion has yet to practice. Top three SF spots are still up for grabs. Keys with his experience probably has a leg up.
CB-Hough is having a great spring. Had another pick in 7v7s. I think its safe at this point to pencil him in as one of the top 2 CBs.
LBs-McAleenan stayed as the #1 at MLB but he will have a hard time holding off Brian Keyes who continues to be really disruptive. Tau is locked in at one OLB spot. Lea ran with the ones today, but I expect Gabe McCoy to either win that job or play significant snaps. Sanchez said he plans to use McCoy in a hybrid DE/OLB role.
DL-Alo-Wily and Hughes had nice days. Both were disruptive in scrimmage situations and individual drills. Alo-Wily is extremely quick off the ball. I think the staff hopes that he can get penetration with his quickness while Hughes will occupy blockers to keep linebackers free.
K-Still not gonna watch..
