It's a pay bump and a move up. You want out of that hell hole and you enjoyed your time in Vegas. I get it.

That said, you have no idea what you're getting into here this time around. The fanbase does not want you and won't support you. You'll be taking a job from an AD who will likely be fired very soon for a million reasons, many of which don't even concern you. You seem like a nice enough guy and frankly you don't deserve to be in the middle of this mess.

Everyone knows the decision to hire you is being pushed by one crazy booster with control issues. If ultimately Cliff gets his way and you get hired don't think you'll come here with some long leash to rebuild. It won't work like that at all.

This isn't a situation where fans will "come back when you win". You won't win here for at least 2-3 years and I promise you that won't be good enough. The moment TKM goes, you'll be right behind her. She may be gone before you ever coach a game.

It seems like a promotion, but in your case, I promise you it isn't. You will not be given a fair chance here. Something to consider.

Marvin ignore these idiots. Just come to UNLV and do your best to bring some stability back to rebel basketball. If you can do that, most of the fans will be happy. Some people who, to be fair, think they are fans, are delusional and will never be satisfied unless UNLV is in the final four ever other year. They convinced themselves that Rick Pitino was coming to Las Vegas and cannot come to grips with the reality that is UNLV basketball in 2016. For me this has nothing to do with Pitino. I'm in disbelief that George Karl is interested and we're not making him our first choice.

Well, I don't share you fascination with George Karl. So we have a difference of opinion. I certainly agree that he was a great NBA coach. But not convinced he is a good fit for UNLV in 2016.

He's the third winningest NBA coach of all time and a future Hall of Famer. This isn't a question of opinion. Karl is absolutely a better resume and a better hire. It's really not that debatable.
