New Mexico is committed to the option making it a none fit.
I'm surprised Eastern New Mexico, New Mexico Highlands or Western New Mexico hasn't offered though

Why not New Mexico State or Texas State or North Texas? To be honest I am surprised a team that likes to throw the ball around a ton like Texas Tech hasn't at least taken a look at the kid.

Grant he plays against a little bit lower level of talent, but physically the kid looks the part, arm looks pretty strong, looks accurate and has decent touch on the ball.

Most likely will have to go FCS or even Juco route for a year or two to get some more looks.

I remember when Bob Davie started at UNM he alluded that he's not running the option because we necessarily wanted to, he just thought it was his best chance to win given the roster he inherited. He said is basically the best way to win with limited talent. He also said that the play was to recruit and get the guys in necessary to have more of a passing game.

I'm guess he is not recruiting the way he thought he could.
