2 straight series to throw pick 6’s to allow Notre Dame to ice it.
One of 99 yards. The other of 102 yards.

Of course he hung his head after both.

He is definitely the gunslinger type QB
So from ready to score, twice, to giving them 14. So anywhere from a 20-28 point turnaround on two plays.

We saw a few of those passes here. Aside from those particular plays here, he was very, very good for us. With those passes, he was good here. It’s the negative I remember with him, bad passes at bad times.

Both were poor throws but the OL for USC is crap at pass protection and/or Maiava was really bad a blitz recognition.

Yeah he takes risks it seems to be in his nature you might see that go down next season a little but he appears to be one of those guys you don't want to control too much because it will take away from what he does but you have to know he will have his TO's. USC seems to be a good fit because they can score if they improve their defense he can do well. He wouldn't do well with Penn State.

Nah you guys got it wrong. The first pick was defensive holding you saw the referee go for his flag then changed his mind. Second pick was on 4th down the offensive line let guys come free, he had to throw it up for grabs. I'm surrounded by SC fans, they love the kid. Offensive line was junk, star running back out in first series, he played a very good game. He has something.

I went to USC. They loved Rob Johnson. He had Tony Boselli blocking for him and he still wasn’t great (despite making an NFL roster, I think).

Now that these kids are employees, I’m more critical. I hope for his overall success but you don’t take the sulking baby out of the player. He hung his head twice. He did so here as well.

Just my observations.

At USC they expect you to win, they don’t give a rats rear end about excuses.

Maiava will have to get in gear and start showing leadership, this Jay Cutler style QBing isn’t going to fly at SC.
