LIVE: 2013 UNLV vs Central Michigan Comeback Win

That was really an amazing game to be around. There were rumors going around at the half that was going to be Hauck’s last game. The guys were down big. I don’t think anyone outside their locker room thought they could come back. Caleb and the guys sure did. They went on to beat Reno up there for the first time in a long time. That was as a fun week working the bowl game in Dallas. Caleb really was like RG3 that season.

When we glory in a season in which we beat only one team with a winning record and got destroyed in the bowl game to finish 7-6, that says everything about the standard set for UNLV football. I really hope this next season (assuming the virus is gone in time) is that start of having a real football program that actually beats teams with winning records and goes to bowl games on a yearly basis.

That was a fun one. I’m glad Hauck is at Montana doing well. He just signed a new extension. He is making good money for an FCS school.

UNLV was just a bad fit.

The school wasn't willing to truly invest in football, and Hauck wasn't a guy that liked to shake hands and rub elbows to make things happen and raise the type of money needed.

Hauck will continue to do well at Montsna. He would also likely do well at an FBS school that was already in a good place. He's just not a 'rebuild' type guy I don't think.

I hope they don’t play such a tough out of conference schedule in

I totally agree.

I do wish the university would’ve supported Hauck and his staff more.
