My last post may have killed the room. So let's talk about Monday's game.
I've only seen one of UCLA's game; against CalPoly. It was similar to the game against UNLV, but they made their FT's late. UCLA runs the pick and roll very well with Parker and Bolden/Welsh move without the ball very well on backcuts. I'd really love to beat UCLA and Alford, but this is going to be a tough matchup for both teams. UCLA is not overly athletic at the 2-4 positions and Parker is pretty slow, but they have quick guards and they look to push the ball. They're not as deep as us so that might be a huge factor
I'm looking forward to our wing players in a wide open offense and Zimm against anyone they throw at him. I'm looking for Zimm to have a gigantic game. It also doesn't hurt to have Carter on our side; someone who's played against them 5 times.
All in all, UNLV playing in Maui over Thanksgiving is amazing. Is it Monday yet?
UNLV 79
UCLA 76
P.S. UCLA plays what should be a tough game against Pepperdine tonight on the Pac-12 Network for those who have it.
