remember this is the mountain west conf. UNLV is a great job in a horrible conf. the conference is what will suppress the splash hire. I am amazed more and more each day how the facilities were upgraded when rice was hired and money was dumped into the program. why the hell was that not done with lon???? look what he is doing... again!!! his 5th school he has made a deep tourney run with. don't give me the crap that long couldn't get it done.? no the University didn't dump the money into it. rice was paid ALMOST twice what lon was. look at the resumes between the two. I am floored at how this program is run. UNLV hadn't been relevant for 15 years until lon came along.

Where are you getting your info from? Rice was paid far less than Kruger. The Mendenhall was constructed under Lon's watch not Rice. Krguer bailed before it was opened.

I stand corrected rice didn't pass the mill mark here. I had it in my head he was given a lot more after the usf issue. Sorry. I was upset when they let lon leave. get more upset after watching him now and hearing 3 mill contract offer talk get thrown around for the next coach. lon makes 2.4 now and this apparent booster money now should have been used to keep him then
