I think UNLV needs to follow this blueprint. Pony up some bucks ($1 million plus) to hire a P5 OC like McElwain. Who cares if they leave for greener pastures in three years?

Must be nice to hire their next coach without spending a dime of their own money... And they will be able to offer a pretty nice sum, like 2 million over next 3 yrs... Thats big time coach $$$.

Those high buy-outs are a smart move. Chump change for a P5 school when they come calling for your coach, and a nice windfall for the school the coach is leaving. CSU is now going to be able to attract another quality coach because they will be able to offer a nice salary.
