I just saw a quick stat on ESPN's bottom line which I thought was a bit misleading. It said that we average more russing yards per game than any other team in the MW, which is true. THough it also said that we give up more rushing yards than any other team which is technically true I guess, but it insinuates that Jeanty will tear us up.

When the truth is that we did a better jog against Jeanty than any other team by a large margin. ONly against Portland State that he had fewer years, but he only had 11 carries in a blow out win.

Lowest Yard per carry against us
Shortest longest run, by a large margin
All of this with the 3rd most carries in all of his games.

Personally I don't think we need to do better than that. I just think we need to stop Madsen from his scrambles and to play better in passing situations from reducing the easy throws, more pressure on the QB, and of course limiting his runs on scrambles. Turnovers would be nice too. Do that and limit Jeanty in a similar fashion to game 1 and we win.

What? We lead MWC defenses in yard/attempt at 3.2 and have only given up 1213 yards on the ground all season. That's best in the MWC for yards/rush and yards/game. Regardless, IDGAF about total yards, 3.2 yards/attempt is stout.

I don’t know how many carries Jeanty has had this season, but that hasn’t take a toll on his body

Jeanty also got injured early in the game against UNLV. I think he is going to be the one to win the game for BSU with 1 or 2 big runs while being contained for much the rest of the game.

UNLV put that hurts on him. Tonight might be more of the pain for Jeanty.
