if the tone of the posts from insiders mean anything. I'm not sure what is worse, the timing of it all or who they have lined up to replace him. Why we would want UCLA's leavings I have no idea. Rollie won a national championship and we know how that turned out. I wouldn't look at early results to predict the future.
I think in the long run Howland will be an epic bust. If we're lucky enough to retain Rice's players I think we'll make a run next year. Maybe even the following year. But I think Howland's recruiting will fall off, he won't have the luxury of boosters stuffing the pockets of recruits like he did at UCLA. Our microscope is much more sharp than it is there.
