The talent is there for UNLV to win, but the stupid play calls at key points in the game by the coaching staff must stop for them to win! UNLV has been in all but one of the games until the second half, and they have keep all but two of the games within a single score until the end!
Moral victories are welcome at the University of Notta Lot of Victories.
Some of our fans love a steady diet of it.
Looking at the strength of schedule, it is hard to make unr anywhere near a 20 point favorite (they have won two games by 20 or more points)! unr has only played one team with less than 3 loses while UNLV has only played one team with more than 2 loses. UNLV schedule included a 40-13 record without a single team with a losing record. unr schedule included a 21-31 record with 2 teams with a winning record, one even, and four with losing records. UNLV has played four teams that have been ranked in the top 25 with 2 still ranked, unr played only FSU who had already dropped out of the ranking when they played. UNLV needs to play like they did verse UTSA without the last minute let down! In my opinion, UTSA is a better team than unr.
Of course, it is hard to leave out the shoot yourself in the foot coaching factor of UNLV!

Interesting. Didn't seem like he got much of a look at QB. Does this mean that our other QB's are getting healthy now then?
It means Friel is a better quarterback than Martell. He kept his composure against San Jose. Your secondary managed to make San Jose's quarterback look good, despite his receivers having some big drops. Carson Strong is throwing the ball as well as anyone in the country. Bad things.
First time in a while that the depth chart listed a clear #1 starter this week: Friel.
Friel has gotten better every week.
I still think a healthy Brumfield gives them their best chance to win, but Friel has closed that gap a little..
