They just don’t matter and they know it. Severe inferiority complex. We mean everything to them. Their pride and joy, football, has never been as good as our “second fiddle” currently is. Our pride and joy sucks right now but it’s a storied program that’s climbed the highest of mountains, while their greatest success in that sport was considered underachievement during our heyday.

I don’t blame them from running away from their actual identity and trying to reinvent themselves. But it’s kinda lame, giving yourself a new name that’s supposed to be glorious somehow … the opposite of what they actually are … most of their students are rebellious (Rebels) anyway, they’re Las Vegans who broke away from their roots.

In my opinion, it's good to be petty on this subject. It irks me every time I see Nevada instead of UNR. Their official name is University of Nevada Reno. Its the brainchild of the athletic department and not the official name of the University. I'll join your pettiness, with good reason. GO REBELS!

Hell, we can call out enough of our own posters here that take a hard fast position and disappear when they are wrong. But blaming other reasons for their disappearance. Pure cowardice. Plus, everyone gets it wrong sometimes. Just admit it and move on, don’t double and triple down or just vanish. So unmanly.

Not necessarily... think about all the things we've needed so far this year that happened..
Fluke fumble recovery on winning TD drive vs Kansas
Memphis lossing to UTSA
CSU dropping to Fresno
Navy having wheels fall off
Army losing to ND
Tulane losing to Memphis
...
Alot of things not in our control that had to go right and all did to set this up...

It really has played absolutely beautifully into our hands. Obviously an undefeated season would have been nice, but the last time we went undefeated didn't end so well. Frigging destiny!
