Seagears is catching a lot of flack, and deservedly so. But Ike's ball stopping, bad shot selection, and lack of perimeter defense killed us last night. 2-10 from the field and he just keeps throwing up terrible shots. Ike is not a good shooter. The last thing we needed to add to this team was another volume shooter. He's had 2 good games out of 10. Our half court offense is stagnant. It has been for years and it's because we continue to bring this type of player in. (Katin, BDJ, etc)
Our two most efficient scorers, McCaw and Jones only attempted 8 FG combined. This just can't happen. The ball cannot be tied up by Ike. Jones needs more of Ike's minutes immediately.
I'm also interested to see what happens when Cook gets back. I think there's at least 10-12 minutes for him. 3 things that I know we can expect from him. Good defense, push the pace with PASSING, and he won't take any hero ball 25 footers less than 10 seconds in to the shot clock.
