Believe it or not, I'm excited for today's game. We're finally playing a game that actually means something for the first time in a while. Am I setting myself up for disappointment? I really don't care. This season has been brutal. I had to come to grips that Dave Rice wasn't go to be the answer. That was hard and brutal. I had to see Stephen Zimmerman, a guy that decided to stay home, get sick and have fluke injuries to where he couldn't get into a rhythm for more than a month. I had to see Ben Carter, a guy that would literally take a bullet for his team suffer an injury that quite possibly might sit him out next season. (Those were 2 of many many injuries for this team) I had to see a guy in Derrick Jones, that was finally hitting his stride and then the NCAA decided to take the rest of season from him.
With all that being said, I know I'm going to miss watching UNLV play once the season is over. It's a long off season. It's my favorite team out of every sport. I want to watch as much UNLV basketball as I possibly can. I am rooting for these kids today. I know they will play hard so I am going to root for them hard. I've seen crazier things happen. Go Rebels!!!
