It's been a dark time for UNLV basketball. Many fans have left, and with reason. UNLV has given us ALL a reason to pack up our bags and look elsewhere.
The KK hiring was a surprise at first, and didn't move the needle. Lon's announcement today was only a surprise because I thought it would be next year. That being said, I am ready for the season to start. I am fully aware we may suck testes next season, but I think Lon's mentorship of how to bring in transfers is going to push CKK in the right direction. I think the staff is going to be good, and I fully expect us to be in on many high powered transfers.
I may even buy my 3rd and 4th season ticket back. I had let all 4 go prior to Rice's last season, and I bought 2 back after MM's 2nd season. I readily admit I wear scarlet colored glasses but I'm looking forward to getting the old gang back together before games.
P.S. If you think TNes is pushing hard for a position, Justin Hawkins is pressing hard like he used to during SDSU games...or how hard he wanted to press his foot on Katin's neck in his senior season. I'm not sure there's a place on the staff, but I'd love to see it.
