News broke yesterday but I don’t see an announcement. I think this is a big loss, imo. When I went to games he had the most interaction with the players and Kevin. Second was Chappel and then Buckley with almost none.

Yikes, right in the middle of recruiting no less. Seems KK would have a statement about this. KK needs to pick up a recruiter during this weekends coaching convention.
Huge loss. I feel confident in CKK's ability to find a suitable replacement, tho.
hopefully something happens quickly this could be a disaster of a hire . I'm not going to wait around another 3 years to see if he's the right fit. it's going to be hard to find a good assistant coach willing to coach under such a young coach. IMO.
Lon better step up and put some feeler‘s out for his son or the KK experiment will be over! We don’t have 3 years to waste. I was hoping this was an April fools thing but if Hartman is gone, this is a disaster for Kruger, the other guys might as well be ghosts because that’s how much presence they have!
Guys don't you think you are overreacting just a bit. Great all time coach's son's follow in their dad's footsteps all the time. But unlike most of the others Kevin has primarily done in under his own weight. And he was a great player to go along with it and players want to play for other players it's hard to listen to and respect a coach who didn't play. Also everyone also knows that Lon is low key another assistant that just happens to sit in the stands not on the bench. You guys gotta have faith man Kevin was the right guy for the job he was the perfect guy for the job you'll see.
Faith??? i have had faith for about 25 years!! Now its just desperation to have any relevance! This offseason he needs to show us something!!
Like I said before...UNLV is a different program now. Our expectations should be lower. Maybe as soon as we accept this new reality, the better.
While I know we aren’t the program we were, I will never accept this!
Depends on who he replaces him with, but I doubt he's going to be aiming for the stars here. I think Kruger knows better than anyone that UNLV is in a whole new world at the moment though.

This. But it appears he was our only productive recruiter for this year.
Most of the transfers had a tie to Hartman! So he is partly responsible if not mostly responsible brining them here!
Wonder if one year was the plan all along as a favor to LK. Hartman helps CKK get up on his feet and a year under his belt then goes back to a P5 conference to earn more $$?
And we should be offering a position as an associate head coach to lure higher types.
I don’t think so, he and the new UF coach were together at Columbia before Hartman went to Oklahoma. Not saying if Golden had not gone to UF Hartman would have stayed but I don’t think it was a one year deal to start with when he came here.
