Hansen Gone

Yikes that really hurts 2 ways. Schemes and Loyalty. I really thought we were set up this year to be rolling but losing both OC and DC before any signs of real success hurts. Consistency is imperative at this juncture I only hope CA has the boys tuned into him and what he's trying to do.

Andddddd....we sucks again on defense

It's not good.

Can only hope that Arroyo having such a long career as an assistant and multiple stops has a decent network. Might be able to fill the spots with comparable replacements

But yeah, this stinks.

Never knew UNLV was such a hot bed for coaching talent.

We’re really gonna suck next year.

I believe there are at least 20 excellent FCS schools that had better defenses than we did. Most of those young DC's would jump at the chance to move up. The problem is picking the best of the lot.

Yeah this hurts, our defense improved substantially and the best I can remember in a long long while so it isn't a surprise he got snapped up just that it happened so soon. This hurts more than losing an OC, we have a new QB coming in anyway so it isn't like you have an established QB learning a whole new system again.

I thought we had him for one more year.

Really liked what he was implementing. Odd fronts, multiple looks, bringing different pressures. Putting guys in good spots to succeed.

No, the numbers weren't great, but like you said improving.

Considering how bad we were on offense, we played in a lot of tight games, a testament to the defense in some ways.

He was aggressive vs Baer who basically let us die by a thousand cuts..Guys were in position to make plays (they didn't always make them but they were in the vicinity) where as under Hauck there always seemed to be a safety and a corner staring at each other after a big play pointing at each other debating who's responsibility ot was...

Plus other than Iowa St we didn't have a game where we couldn't stop anyone the entire game. That seemed the norm the last decade.
