Early reports coming in he is asking for a tranfer. Nothing confirmed. Taylor Bern tweeted it out.
I hate to see it but you knew someone was going to transfer. Hopefully at his next stop he can get offensive game going. Goodluck to Goodluck.
Can't confirm this but some talk he missed home.Ridiculous. .. He was starting, he asked to come in off the bench. Had a great freshman year with ton of minutes and this season is so young. Do these kids not have the drive, work ethic or self-confidence to earn the playing time? Answer is always I'll just move schools. How has that worked out for others? Has anyone left UNLV for an equal.or higher caliber team and got more minutes and excelled?
I think it could be a part of it.Is Obekpa practicing with the team?
Can't help but wonder if CO's presence on next years roster is the driver.

Also with our depth/talent the Rebs can go small a lot with only one true 'big' on the court. As bad as this will sound, of the 9 or 10 guys who we knew were gonna play significant roles, he is probably the one they could most afford to lose. With Zimm, Carter and Morgan already in place for this year it creates a space to give Jones more run, and next year Obekpa will step in to replace Zimm as far as a Center type goes and play along side Carter and Morgan in 2016.
But I wish him the best, wherever he ends up.

Mogan and Carter were going to continue to eat into his minutes.
What hurt him most is this. He was one of the best interior defenders we had, but you couldn't have him on the floor late in close games. His free throw shooting was a huge liability. Morgan has more offensive upside. Carter, may not be as athletic or as good of a shot blocker but is a solid post defender and a better offensive game.
His loss sucks but not all that surprising.

Neither do I, considering you could see his role was diminishing. In the Indiana game thread, my comment was: "However, when okonoboh makes up his mind to make a move and shoot, it's pretty much the same as a turn over."
His effort was good, so good luck to him. However, I was in full agreement with his diminished playing time. There may be a game or two where this hurts us due to foul trouble or something, but I don't see this as a bad thing for the team.
Mentioned that already. Savon a different situation. He didnt leave because he wanted to. I thinking of those that asked for a transfer thinking the grass was greener.Savon doesn't seem to be doing too bad. Just sayin.
Katin is really the only one I can think of that transferred for "greener Grass" ... Yeah how did that work out for him. I guess Meech maybe, but he too was a 4 yr project player.. Otherwise, Moser peaked here, BDJ- not exactly an ideal team mate...
Is there any?I'd love to hear the rationale for this comment...
