Getting 'em hyped up

I'm really anxious to see what the strength coaches have done with our guys with a full season in the books and the next one still six months away. If the short videos from last summer are any indication, the hype is more than just hype.

When I met Belton last year at the meet & greet coaches event, his energy was evident. He told me how the first thing the players would do would be clean the weight room to take ownership of it. He also talked how his training session were designed to not only build muscle but build the team chemistry as well. I love watching him on the sidelines of a game jumping up and down and cheering on his men.

They are fun to watch at practice. Constantly moving around , motivating. They also push the guys and "trash talk" guys during drills to keep things as competitive as possible. They really do add and element that has not been present in the program for as long as I can remember.

He's very engaging as well. When I went to the spring practice (where I met Buck, Bull, and inWA) I was in scrubs by the trainers table at the beginning of the day (no comments about me hanging out by the trainers' equipment).

Anyway, he came over to get a mouthpiece and said "can you believe that fool doesn't have a mouthpiece?" I looked around to see who he was talking to since I don't work for the school. He was talking to me but it seems like he's not shy.. He even danced to country music while the players stretched.
