Game Day:Boise St

The line on tonight’s game, at my on-line sportsbook, is Rebels -4. The total is 155.5. Gameday has finally arrived! As a fan, these 8-day layoffs seem interminable. The Northern Colorado game seems like decades ago.

I’m a little surprised by this line. I thought that Boise might be favored, or at least closer to a pick ‘em game. As a bettor, I regret to say, I’d be putting my money on the Broncos.

As for the total, most of Boise’s games have been played in the 70’s and 80’s. There have been a couple of grind-it-out games, but also some games in the 90’s. There will be no “grinding” vs the Rebels, so the over looks good, to me.

I don’t bet against the Rebels, but I might put a little on the total. Hoping that the line is close to the result.

If we can limit our turnovers and their offensive rebounds. We should be okay, both have been a glaring weakness for us so far. Not sure about the -4, think that’s just because we average 91.2, things change during conference play. I’m thinking the under as well.

37-35 Rebels at the half. Exciting game so far. Fast paced. Juiston and McCoy playing well and playing hard. Forget any thought of them coasting after the cupcake OOC schedule. They came to play. Also Jordy putting up good numbers and driving the ball from the point. Jovan's a bit off, so far.Turnovers are way down.

C'mon Rebels, open it up in the second half. I think, I hope, the pace will wear on the Broncos.This is a game we should win.

I think this game is history. Down 13. Too bad, the experience of Boise, vs the opposite for the Rebels, is showing. We'll be 1-1 after Wednesday

Boise State went on a 25-6 run in the 2nd half. So disappointing.

Lead down to 8. Do the Rebels have it in them? 7:57 left. Plenty of time, but can they make the stops?

Nope... cant hit a clutch 3 from wide open.

McCoy didnt have a foul for nearly 2/3 of the game = Not nearly agressive enough. No urgency with 2 mins left. Holding up on offense and not really pushing.

Boise St & Over…Too bad I have a rule about never betting on/against the Rebels. Cashed a small ticket on the over, but could have nailed a nice parlay. But I would have felt guilty profiting from UNLV’s misfortune.
