Full Spring Schedule

I wish that there wasn't so much drama surrounding the basketball program today, so that this could get a little more publicity/attention. Oh well. Good timing, admins....

I'm very anxious to hear about how practice looks this year as opposed to the last few years. To that end, the uber-organized Sanchez is not going to rely on a guy following him around with a stopwatch, using air horns and megaphones to signal the end of a period. They went out and got a CoachComm Tempo. This is what CTS had at BG. He can control everything with regard to practice flow from his belt pack, including the music. Oh, yes, they will have music!

Nice to see the program start acting like a D1 program in terms of equipment they now have access too. Cant wait to see and hear from others how practice looks and feels.

Judging by some of the workout videos from twitter leading up to spring ball the intensity from the staff will not be lacking.

Not a bad take on some of the Names to watch but I disagree on some points in the article.

I think Decker's main competition will come from RS Freshman Kevin Thomson. JUCO Palandech I believe was brought in to add some maturity to the QB ranks once we knew we were losing Lebowitz (on top of the early departure of Sherry)/ Lots of reps to go around this spring for all three of them. Decker plays to his potential its his job to lose.

I think all the freshman coming in especially at WR will have a chance to play right away. Presley and Woods will get every chance to break into the 2 deep. We lost a lot of bodies at WR so unless there were multiple position moves by DB's we will need guys to step up.

Also Phillipi is moving to fullback from what I understand. Sneed would have to light the world on fire in fall camp to win the job. Thomson will push Decker this year.

I saw Sanchez stop in Subway today right as I was walking out. He was by himself and I wanted to talk with him for a minute but then I figured I probably better just let him get his sandwich so he could get going to practice.

That's my latest update report.

Talk all you want re: the coaches. They're there, no doubt. Question is, will the players execute? The talent. An abiding question with UNLV football.
