Freshman are On Campus

Have seen quite a few of the incoming class posting on twitter about arriving on campus and getting moved in. My guess is they will get enrolled in the final session of summer school to get started (possibly) and immediately start working with the Strength and Conditioning Coach.

I know we were never privy to such information in the past but this is the earliest I remember our incoming class getting on campus. Should help with the transition a bit before fall camp starts in a little under a month from now (i dont know exact dates it just always starts early August).

The way this staff is already out recruiting, developing relationships with prospects, and eager to get players on campus, it's clear Coach Sanchez is on a mission to get this thing going. The way Sanchez' staff conducts business and the energy level exhibited makes the previous coaching regime look downright bad.

Looking ahead 2, 3, 4 years, it's exciting to think what Las Vegas college football will become now that the school is finally making it a priority and investing resources to even up the playing field. Vegas has always had the potential to become a big time college football program. Sanchez has a vision and if the community gets 100% behind it the tide will finally start turning.

I think that is the biggest difference with this staff so far. Robinson tried to lay some solid groundwork but lost momentum. Sanford/Hauck knew of all the behind the scenes issues but never had a plan to fix them. They solely focused on the field (and struggled at that most the time).

Sanchez came in and first order of business was cleaning up the offices to look like they care to recruits and other coaches/admin on campus. They have a plan/vision for the program as a whole and its nice to see steps being taken in all areas from Facilities/academics and between the lines. Refreshing.
