Should never have been 'pushed' into being a football school. We could have been relevant in both if proper steps had been taken by the University and 'fans' had been more supportive.
The decades of hiding behind the 'we are a basketball school' or 'the stadium is to far' excuses for lack of support and attendance are haunting us now.
Football is king in college athletics. Unfortunately it took UNLV about 25 years to figure that out.

We will not become a football school if they do not quickly get rid of TKM, we will become a lower division school with no chance at PAC12 or Big 12 ever if they keep this crap up. TKM has looked desperate by going after coaches who didn't want the UNLV job instead of those who do want the job. Jessup is going to make enemies of a lot of boosters if he can't grow a pair of balls and take the search away from TKM before she does more damage to UNLV.
