I feel confident he will produce and show people he was the right guy for the job. He has charisma and an ability to fire kids up that most would only dream of. He may lack experience but the guy can coach and he can inspire others. That means he will get kids to come here eventually. If you see this guy coach I bet you will feel the same way too. He will get it done.

We will know by the end of year three if this was the right move or not. I am pretty confident that with this staff, and the commitment to football being shown that Coach Sanchez will get things turned around.

I think when you factor everything that came with the hiring it was really a no lose situation. I believe in Sanchez and I'm genuinely excited about his hiring more than most in the past. But if he doesn't get it done I think that seat will look a lot more attractive to bigger coaches with the improvements of the program as a whole due to the result of this hire. I think for the first time it was excellent forward thinking by the university.

When things havent gone well Im always excited for change. I like the fact that the Fertittas are willing to back the program financially and understand to get that their buddy was they guy that had to be hired. Im very skeptical of the coach they chose to right the ship. Really the program cant be in much worse shape so he can only go up but if I were a big money booster like the Fertittas Id rather shoot higher than a HS coach that never spent a day on a college staff other than as a GA for a year.

Well the good news is Tony Sanchez was smart and surrounded himself with some Veterans like Cotton, Baer and Seumalo.
Really interested to see what Garrison and Seumalo do with the O Line and D Line.

Spring will be fun with the new Sound System and what I anticipate to be a much different atmosphere at practice than years past.

Absolutely, that was imperative. Although Im not high on Baer at all based on his past work, although he keeps getting jobs so he must do something right.

Baer will be fine I think. Colorado struggled, but his defenses at San Jose State were pretty solid, and again while he was at Notre Dame he typically had good defenses. The addition of Coach S I think will really help the defensive line and in turn help coach Baer.
