isnt it unr? why is this board just dead

you guys are off to a great start in conf play.
hope for a w tonight

Most people do care, but after the last two coaches and the crash in the program over the last decade, many are still a little gun shy in regards to openly supporting the program, which includes posting on Rebel-Net. The New Mexico game was the fist significant jump in attendance, and with or without a win at unr (a win would do even more to hype people for the team), we could see the best crowd at a UNLV game on Saturday that we have seen in years.

The schedule gets MUCH tougher starting tonight and the next 4 games will tell us a lot. Going 2-2 will be difficult and I worry about the team dropping this game and going on a losing streak (but I had the same concern before the New Mexico game so that was a big win).

3 road games and a home game against San Diego State coming up? Ugh.

On the bright side this team is off to a better start than last year. I would be thrilled with a win tonight. A loss puts them 1 game behind us in the standings and a win puts us 3 games ahead of them.

horrible shooting. keep the pressure up and get hot shooting the ball for a short spell and this is unlvs for the taking

Can’t win on the road. We could lose at least 4 in a row and have a 6-5 record if that doesn’t change. Fortunately almost nobody else in the conference can win on the road either.

I don’t think this was anything too terrible as in “oh no, the sky is falling”. We didn’t play well. Two guys brought it, six had poor nights. This wasn’t schematics, system or talent or anything other than “bad game” for too many guys. It’s been awhile since we had this many guys this subpar in the same game.

I was thinking of the Boise State and Wyoming games too. And the next 3 games look tough. This team will be an underdog in all of them. I’ll be REALLY surprised if we beat San Diego State. After that is games at Colorado State and Utah State and I’m pessimistic enough about those games that I’d be thrilled with going 1-1.

It’s not a huge deal as this is only year one, but after the last decade and the 6-1 start I feel a little more impatient and want to see success. A win at Reno would have put us at 7-1, eased my fears about this team on the road and made a 2nd place finish seem much more likely.

Need more production around the basket to supplement cold shooting from the outside (Diong, Tillman, Blair a combined 1-12 FGs.) Rebels need balance to compete on the road and against the better teams in league. Very interested to the response of this game. More interested in overall team growth than finishing 2nd in league.

Not gonna win em all.

We're performing way above everyone's expectations - even after taking into the account of an easy start to the MWC schedule.

WE were supposed to be the cannon fodder of the MWC. And would have been under the two previous regimes.
