Fun game tonight. Pretty bad crowd tonight but not unusual to have a small crowd during Thanksgiving week. Diong's improvement over the summer was really something special but what is even more amazing is the improvement he is making each game. If McCoy can go pro without any D whatsoever is this guy gonna be here next year? His athleticism, quickness & footwork are off the charts and he is even developing a little jumper. Do they have a most improved player in the MWC award? If he is here next year we might be starting him and Bengai together because that guy is a monster also.

Yeah I know it was only Pacific, I've got my Rebel Red glasses on but I can't help but feel that Mezies may be putting something together here. Amari is starting to look like a poor man's version of Russell Westbrook, getting in the lane whenever he wants, making incredible shots in the lane and throwing in a couple 3's from time to time. And Juice making 3 of those tonight. Clyburn is looking much more confident and finishing much better at the rim this year.

Are they for real? I hope so but we won't know until we see what they can do when the athletes on the other team are as good or better than ours. Will they be tough enough, be able to play through adversity? Can't wait to find out but for now I am enjoying watching this team grow.

Pacific is maybe a top 150 team I like Diong he affected so much on the defensive end. We have a lot of size and athletic players but so does all the top 50 teams. We'll see how it plays out but the Cincinnati game is my determining point

Amari looked like the guy on his high school highlight videos last night. Pacific didn't have much size but was not a bad team. Rebels looked good. Looking forward to see how they do against Dwain Morgan and the rest of SUU

The Rebels made it look easy. Diong's presence in the middle is a difference-maker and helps out the ENTIRE team whereas McCoy's lack of defensive presence last year hurt us badly and probably made us look worse defensively than we really were. Hope they keep up the game-by-game improvement! Not predicting a top 3 MWC finish but at least we're headed in the right direction.

SDSU lost badly to Duke but came back against Xavier. These early games are learning opportunities. They are not season breakers.. Hardy took charge and Robo relaxed and shot well. Lots of assists, need to improve on foul shots. I just want to see a good game vs Cinci and see how we stand. December is a good month for us because our young guys will see good teams and learn more about how to play American basketball. Hamilton is awesome, passing, defensive rebounds. Coach really likes him.

Xavier is a way over ranked team that is now 3-3, and Iowa St., which is a decent but not good team, spanked SDSU by 30 today. They along with most of the MWC are in another down season. This is a season where UNLV could easily end up in the top three if they even have a decent season. With the exception of unr, the MWC is BAD!

Still early but those early projections are showing the MWC to be very weak. And what’s ironic is that’s with it having it’s “best” single team....

I think the conference will move up many spots but it will still prove to be a weak conference. Of course, there will be some saying “top 15 conference means you are better than half of them”, which is true, but it’s so heavily skewed at the very top and there is a Grand Canyon sized gap between good and not good .... may as well have two separate curves.
