Basketball is not and never will be the driver of where we want to be as a university. A P-5 Conference is where we want to be and football is the name of the game. No doubt in my mind that Sanchez will have us winning games and selling out Sam Boyd in no time. The new stadium is gonna be built. The PAC 14 or 16 is gonna come calling and our programs will be flush with CASH. When that occurs we will have our pick of the littler.
In the mean time I say just give it to Augmon and/or Miller and let them see what they can do with the program. They will keep the team and recruits intact and to tell you the truth I really liked the kids we had on the team this year for the first time in quite a while. Give him/them a 5 year contract with a declining buy out clause in it so that if things haven't worked out we will be in a much better position to land the Coach of our Dreams.
That is unless Westgate is spot on about today.
