Derrick just tweeted that he is entering the 2016 NBA draft WITHOUT hiring aa agent. Can't help but think, if not for the NCAA BS, he would have returned to UNLV. I also wonder if Beard was already on staff, could he have talked him out of declaring?

He can still come back...but he's most likely gone for good.

Who is advising these kids? Look at what happened to Roscoe, Khem, Wood and Vaughn. I believe only one got drafted and all were far better college players then these kids that are declaring. Jones is a great kid but he is in no way shape or form ready for the NBA. Not even close. YET. 58% free throw and 20% from 3 point range while committing 93 fouls won't cut it. I hope Jones decides to go back to school. Great kid, huge potential, not ready yet.

Since the NCAA hosed him, don't blame him. Spend thousands fighting it? Retake test? D-League? Europe? ...... a lot of options.

They didn't hire an agent so maybe testing waters as per the new rules ala Kentucky with all including walk ons? Not saying he is coming back here but that could be the plan with this whole eligibility thing. IMHO I hope he DOES get drafted just to throw it back into the NCAA's face. All I know I love DJJ and will watch him anywhere he goes. As for any school but ours, if he goes undrafted I can see him not playing at any school and continuing the pursuit with his lawyer until he play for $. I also wouldn't blame him.

Not exactly the sound of someone looking to come back, even if the NCAA cleared him. Wish him the best though. Hope he can make a good living for himself in Europe.
