It does seem sort of crazy, but, as we enter the conference season, I am going to try to enjoy it.
Certainly, each victory will be labeled as meaningless because the league is horrible. Big win, close win, they might as well be asterisked..Each opponent will be described by the high RPI numbers.
Lose? While many will be sad and disappointed at the condition of the program, others will struggle to control their glee. When, as expected, we lose to Reno, even though they are a top team, it will just change the narrative.
And, there is a lot of truth in all tne negativity.
But, damn it, I just don't want to give up, I am going to be at the game tonight, with about 1,999 other fools. I will cheer for the players, the team. I will have to hope that tomorrow , at least I will be reading that the Rebels won an meaningless game, rather than how they lost to a bottom feeder.
