CONFIRMED -- UNLV talking to George Karl about vacancy

I was sitting around the clubhouse, and in walks a big time UNLV booster, who tells me TKM just got off the phone with George Karl, tearfully telling him about how she just can't find a decent guy, they all seem to disappear after the first or second date. No sooner is he explaining this, than another big name in UNLV athletics, who I met at the gala, stopped by and asked me what I thought about Karl leading the program.

I will be at an art symposium with some community movers and shakers for the remainder of the day, but I will fill you in on further news when I get time.

Would love to have John Welch on the bench! That guy can coach. I remember cheering him on when he played for the Rebels. He had serious handles! I think he is the guy Greg Anthony would play one-on-one with in the off season (during his NBA career) to get better

I like Miller, and I think he has a future. I even like him as HC over Menzies, Augmon, and Theus.

But if we could come to terms with a Karl or even a Lavin, we are cementing our place as a mid-major has-been if we then give Miller the nod.
