Getting to know our new HC and came across this video and thought I'd share. I like what I've read and seen so far.

"No rebuilding. We want to win now". Coach Beard
How is that any different.
I guess I don't follow. Is your point that we should be used to 5th place and not care?
I'm of the idea that the talent we have has drastically underachieved and the current incoming recruiting class is pretty damn good. I'd rather see Beard keep some of them and help them reach their potential than see the total exodus and rebuild.
If the rebuild is necessary, bring it. It's just not what I'd prefer to see is all.
Make sense?
My point is why are people concerned about the possibily of a rebuild when we essentially have been in one for the last two years.
Because they don't want to see another year as bad as the last two?
Perhaps I'm not going to understand your point. Sorry.
I pretty sure he means:
2014/15 ~ Great recruits, lots of talent ~ finished 7th
2015/16 ~ Rinse, Repeat ~ finished 6th
Q: So regardless of whether our current great recruits bail how much worse can we get?
A: Not much!
(But let's hope they stay!!!)
Because they don't want to see another year as bad as the last two?
Perhaps I'm not going to understand your point. Sorry.
It's not about how much worse can we get. The answer to that question is probably not much. The reason I don't want a rebuild is because I'm tired of bad UNLV basketball.
I swear people would have better luck talking to a wall.
I just don't understand people acting like it suddenly becomes a dumpster fire or a rebuild if everybody leaves. Its been bad basketball and its been a rebuild for two years now.
.
I see you just added this paragraph. Clears up the disconnect.
I agree that it's not guaranteed to be a dumpster fire if everyone leaves, I just think it bodes well for next next if some stay. I think our likelihood of a third year in a row of being bad is increased by losing guys like Pat McCaw.
It's not like we disagree on anything here, at least I don't think we do.
