College Football News has UNLV winning four games. I think they’ll do better than that!!

I don't mean to be a nay sayer but what makes you think we win 4+ games this year? We laid a big goose egg last year and what is worse is we were not even competitive. I think we would have to get really lucky to get 4 wins.

4 seems about right, wouldnt surprise me at all if they dont hit it just based on the fact that UNLV football has finished with under 4 wins about 1/2 the time the last 25 or so seasons.

COVID really hurt us. The coaching staff has had a year to work with the guys.

Covid year. Small, undersized, but played hard. This will be a better year because weight room, non covid will help with crowds, a full year for quarterbacks and receivers to team up. Arroyo's offense will get going and we will hope the defense gets bigger and stronger. Fun to watch and I will be there.

The one positive I can see, is it looks like ticket sales are doing very well with all the upper end and lower end tickets already sold out based on their ticket sales site. Now they better find a way to win games this year or they will lose those new found fans! The update now shows all end zone tickets are gone.

Four wins seems kind of a reach. We will HAVE to have solid QB play to reach that. Given that Rodgers and Brumfield couldn't clearly beat out an underwhelming Gilliam a year ago doesn't give me high hopes. Friel is also a freshman, so not expecting too much there. The books probably have it right. Just enjoy the new stadium. LOL!

It looks like most of the lower section is now almost sold out or reserved based on the season ticket availability at the UNLV ticket site? Most of the sections still open show very limited number of tickets, does anyone know if this is correct?

Apparently Iowa State fans went out and bought a ton of the cheaper season tickets because it was a better deal to buy the package vs a single game ticket. The ISU game is certainly going to be a packed house sell out. I hope these Iowa State fans sell the rest of the games so that we get fans in there and they don’t sit empty the rest of the year.

That make sense kinda like what Wisconsin has done in the past. Either way, it could leave UNLV first in the MWC in ticket sales if they open part of the next level up.

the new stadium and the draw of the city is a huge adavantge for unlv. to maximize that they need to schedule the ooc intelligently and fill the stadium. dont bring in the bamas of the world. bring in 2 schools like isu every year that can maximize ticket sales while offerring a competitive game. unlv can be as attractive if not more attractive than hawaii for shceduling opposing teams. if lv ever gets an mlb team its success on filling the stadium will be based on visting fans every week not on the backs of transplant locals
