I've been pretty much MIA from the internet today, it's been more about phone calls and such.

Even without the additional information, Otz is our new coach, he deserves the full opportunity to put his fingerprints on the program. I don't see how you can't do at least that much - either that or just cut ties, which is FULLY understandable.

The feedback that I received really didn't impact how I intend on heading into next season. I won't say I'm "excited" about everything, but I'm definitely curious about alot of it, maybe excited about some of it, but I do want to see what fresh blood can do at this point. Oh, I have my doubts but it extends far beyond his ability level (which I'm not sure of anyway), I'm more pessimistic, as I always am, regardless of coach, of the UNLV general muck.

Feedback from the basketball circles I spoke with was mildly varied, but nothing was shockingly bad about him. Predictions were a bit all over the place but they were more dependent upon UNLV, the place, than his abilities.

After what we just went through, which was a nightmare to the eyeballs and spasmodic to the ears and paralyzed the frontal lobe (common sense), I'm looking forward to seeing what Otz can do. At worst, I hope fans take a wait and see approach, but I'd rather they were there watching the games in person.

Certainly not crazy about the process (as I believe it to be), but I'm not going to hold it against this guy. My strong assumption is he came here with the intentions we want. Let's see how he proceeds through all this.
