I think he would be a good hire when USC fires him. He can recruit the region and possible axe to grind with the Trojans. With USC buying him out maybe he takes the job on the cheap,rebuild his image, lead us to a bowl game, and leave in 3 or 4 years.

Why not? We are not in a spot to be extremely picky. If he is willing we should definitely roll the dice. What’s the worst he could do? Win 3 games and lose to Reno on a yearly basis.

If you can’t win 10+ games a year at USC I don’t think you’ll be winning many games at UNLV. If Pete Carroll is interested sign him up! Helton? I don’t think he’s the answer.

He has done nothing at SC with great talent, Im afraid to see what he would do with UNLV talent.

As far as "He can recruit the region and possible axe to grind with the Trojans". Im not sure where you are going with that, but if If what I think you are saying its not like he would convince any recruits to pass on SC for UNLV.
