Kevin the PG will be remembered fondly and I’m sure he is a good man and father but I was extremely glad a coaching move was finally made to remove him.

It sucks. It’s hard on people and hard on their family. But they get paid big bucks to perform.
UNLV is an extremely difficult first time as a head coach job. Had he or Rice cut their teeth at a smaller school for 4-5 years and then had this job, they’d have had a better chance, especially Rice because of his recruiting (well, now it’s NIL).

I’m of the opinion that unlv is an easy gig, IF you have charisma. Which we have not had since Bayno. Every coach since then has been a total dryball.
Rice just finished 19-12 at SLCC, not a glamorous gig but that’s pretty average for JuCo.

I hope he's doing well. I'm sure he's well taken care of and will land on his feet somewhere, but I wonder how much this job ate him up and how much the firing impacted him. We know Rice took it pretty hard for a while.
Got to remember the average American make $ 1.85 million for their ENTIRE LIFE and CKK more than doubled that in 5 years. ($ 3.85 Mil) He should pick a nice rural D2 college, coach there ( $ 70 K ) , and enjoy his family and life.

I don’t think UNLV was easy for Bayno. We won conference once, conference tournament twice, granted, it was a good league. But Bayno was loaded with charisma and was still canned.
Lon was very dry and he won at the second highest clip behind Tark.
Odom was dry too. Robinson had more charisma. Granted, football.
I’d much rather have charisma, but I think it’s lower on the list of necessary qualities.

Bayno was canned because of other factors, should have been suspended but administrators hate sports.
In terms of passion and talent, Bayno restored it. If you can’t sell the program, you aren’t going to do shit.
I think Bayno did a good job all things considered. But he didn’t win the fans over, they were wildly split.

He's got that 1,000 yard stare serious. He's not even looking at the flag. I really wish him well. Hate seeing coaches and players come here with good intentions get chewed up and spit out but major college sports is about big money and has no time for feelings.
