Aside from this year the mwc is usually among the top conferences. There are plenty of great coaches who are at and have stayed at non bcs schools. Lets place blame where it should be. On the administration

Not really. Ever since the Power conferences were formed we have been on a steady downhill climb. We already lost 3 coaches who ended up taking power jobs.

We didnt lose coaches because of conference we lost kruger because we wouldnt pay him, and our stupid fans thought he had"peaked" and that "we could do better" and because our inept administration

I wasn't counting Kruger. I was counting Underwood, Dixon, and Beard.

Plus im not sure how seriously we looked at underwood or dixon. Dont know if you could say we lost them. Once again theres plenty of solid coaches at non bcs schools.
Conference = money and prestige. UNLV has no money which has been a problem for a LONG time.
Conference certainly does matter in the grand scheme. With these latest misses, it was more specific school based... But a lot of BAD luck led to UNLV missing on some guys.... Perfect openings at the right times screwed UNLV in at least two hires... TCU, couldn't match them with money. Not close.
No B12 opening, I feel Underwood was here. Terms, in general, agreed to. They weren't at point A with Underwood. But OSU quickly and completely undone any progress.
Dixon wasn't stolen, really. UNLV couldn't afford the hefty buyout. TCU could. Had UNLV been able to pay the buyout, he'd be here, IMO, because he lost more quickly than Underwood.

But as for the last couple days, I think most haven't even thought of the MWC, most know UNLV did it to themselves this time.
