Twelfth seat if I'm lucky
Another stream? That’s a hard pass for me.

I worked for 1.75 hours to try to watch what I could for that first game. Now you want me to do that again? I’m as diehard and loyal as they come but make the game accessible. No more Keystone Cops for me.

Same with the football game.

So I’ll be 0/2 today. Fun times.

Knights?

I'm not really a huge fan of theirs. I'll watch highlights on twitter, but I don't sit through entire games. The only teams I'll watch entire games of are UNLV MBB and Football, and Pittsburgh Steelers games. I don't even watch the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA, etc.
Very Similar to be but replace Steelers with the Knights.

Would like to get this win. I understand Cal isnt that good this year, but every team we face, we need to treat it like the last game of our life.

Does anyone have free tickets to tonight’s game they are trying to get rid of?

I don’t know how to describe this team but it’s definitely easier on the eyes than past teams.

Team is a lot more Mature and has a lot of experience.
I like that they take defense seriously and not as a mere suggestion.

UNLV defense wasn't as intense as the opener, but it got the job done tonight. Also, Cal really beat us up on the glass. I think we'll be more disciplined boxing out as the year progresses. Also, we weren't super sharp on offense, and Cal had a lot to do with that, This Cal team isnt great, but UNLV doesn't win this game with any of the coaches we've had since Lon Kruger.

Bryce had a tough game early on - good thing he shook off the bad mojo and got it going late.

Defense is upper p5 conference level. Offense terrible. Bad shots all over the place. Guys jacking 3's that have no business shooting 3's

CKK is already instilling a winning culture. Could have easily started 0-2, but I have to say I am cautiously excited.

All you need to do to get this town behind you is WIN!! There are 20,000 future fans out there who have NEVER been to a game. They'll come if he can win games.

I fully expect this to be Kruger 2.0 Pretty similar approach as his father. He had a great teacher. If he can see similar result as his father had here at UNLV, I think we will all be ecstatic. The schedule is about to get real tough, so winning is something that is going to change real quick. Lets just see if they can stay on track and keep improving thru the L's. It a long season - picked to finish 7th. I think we will do better than that.

Havent gotten to watch either of the games, but from what it sounds like we have a well coached team. Even when we shoot 8% from 3pt line and have Bryce not play well in the Cal game we are finding ways to win.

I thought thought shot selection was actually pretty good. At least from 3. Aside from a couple of bad shots from Bryce (1 he made) and one from Williams, 3s shot were off the pass, feet set, open and in rhythm. I have no problem with that.

Bryce Hamilton, for a guy who tested the NBA last year, takes some awful shots and misses runners that should be easy buckets more than anyone I have seen here in a while. He needs to use the backboard more.

Can Hamilton ever square up and shoot, every shot he drifts away and sideways and then he SUCKS as a shooter

Don’t get me wrong I loved it when he came back but a lot of the shots he’s missing are from 5 feet? If improves his missed “floaters” we win all three games by probably 15 points! Good win last night.

For the most part the dude is taking tough shots, and he makes a lot of him.

Its not like he is missing wide open bunnies from 5 feet, he is falling back avoiding the defense, body being pushed around-off balance, etc.

he is not twerking his body for the hell of it.

Who knows how long it lasts, but he hasn't been a black hole. They have times where the set it up so he can iso, but he more likely keeps the ball moving in the flow of the offense this year.

In fact they could (should?) try to set him up to iso more.

Disagree on twerking his body for the hell of it...watch him, he drifts on his shots even when not needed. He has a shake a bit similar to Hardin in the nba, problem is he makes such a low percentage that he is not that dangerous. He sure could be dangerous

There’s no doubt, that twerk is intentional and part of his move. That’s not reaction to a play, it’s his game and it’s an awful part of his game.

I don't know. A lot of his twerk is from momentum produced from the move he needs to get by his man and get to the basket. Try to do a hard cut or spin to a crossover at full speed and stop momentum completely. Does he fade away sometimes when he doesn't need to? Yes, for i agree
He could definitely add a more vertical jumper coming off of some of these moves, but most of the time he is either trying to lean into contact or fade away from the defense.

His percentage may not be great, but its pretty damn good on the degree of difficulty on these shots. Oh yeah, and without out him these year we are 0-3. So there is that.

1. He doesn’t need to fall back, he can out jump most of defenders he’s playing against.

2. Didn’t say he was?

3. Didn’t say he was?

4. Only if he is efficient. The ball needs to keep moving so more are involved.. Nuga, Williams, Hamm and even McCabe.

He has been good late in games but I think he is good enough to be good at breaking down his defender and scoring buckets all game long.
