'Bows Rolovich to WSU

Good hire for Wazzu. But who here would like to move from Hawaii to Pullman, WA? Anyone? Hello?
For $15 Million I'm sure I'd be pretty happy in Pullman. I liked the idea of UNLV trying to steal Rolo but it looks like things worked out pretty nice for Nick going from $400k to $3 Million a year.
The thing is that even the Pirate got the hell out of Pullman each winter and went to his Key West home to escape. Rolo should maintain his home in HI and do the same. Come back in the Spring when the Palouse is absolutely beautiful.....if you like miles and miles of green farmland.
I read that AD Chun interviewed Rolo in Las Vegas. They extended the offer where he accepted then they flew him to Pullman. Chun is a genius. You don't want to get anyone up to Pullman before they accept.
They also took photos with Allegiant stadium in the background as to show that the Pac-12 Championship game will be played there.
And Todd Graham goes to Hawaii. I was Interested in him getting the UNLV job. It will be interesting to see how the West division plays out these next few years with all these new coaches.
Rolovich was a good fit for WASU. Somewhat similiar offenses.
Graham has an interesting career pattern.
Did the near impossible and was able to win at Rice.
Great at Tulsa...
6-6 his one year at Pitt. (Bad fit there I think).
Great start at ASU and then fell off.
Of the 'retread' names being floated around, Graham was the most interesting (never thought Butch Jones was a real possibility)..

Speaking about a good fit at Wazzu what is imo aside from the offense is what Rolo has already done for the Wazzu defense. Bringing Jake Dickert from Wyoming is something which the Cougs needed real bad. Their offense will be solid as usual but their defense this past season sucked where Wyoming's has been solid. Time will tell but it seems like a perfect upgrade for Wazzu all the way around especially on defense. Rolo is surrounding himself with good coaches imo
