Best 0-2 week ever?

I can't remember the Rebels going 0-2 in a week and the vibe being so positive. Does anybody remember a week that UNLV lost both games and yet it still seemed like a positive week like last week seems to have been?

Positive? We lost both games so not quite sure why anyone would be positive about that. Losing is losing unless we are now a program that values "moral victories." And we might be on a 3 game losing streak after tonight since we have lost 3 straight to the gays up north.

I get that...but if watching those two games didn't make you think we could win the MWC then I don't know what you were watching.

Moral victories are still loses, but when was the last time a UNLV team was improving this late into the season? This young team is improving with every game. If I could be blunt...the MWC sucks ass this year. If we continue to see this upward trend, which I fully expect, we will be 1 or 2 going into the tournament. I always thought Wyoming was #1 team in conference because they have an athletic big and seniors. I thought BSU was 2 and we were 3/4 with SDSU. BSU is dead to rights and SDSU is even worse than I thought. If that Wyoming game was on a neutral, we win.

In short, there's nothing wrong with being positive about a "coulda won" in Wyoming on New Year's Eve and then against Top 15 Kansas on the road.

P.S. Unless 3 of our starting 5 die in the next 5 hours (knocks on wood) we will win by double digits.

Have you not been reading the paper, listening to the radio, or paying attention to anything? The response has been very positive. Whether you think it should be or not matters not.

Didn't we think the team was improving last year at this point of the season? That team nearly beat Arizona on the road and then went on a winning streak after that game. Then they collapsed in conference play. I also remember thinking the team from two years ago was improving when they beat San Diego State on the road and played their best game.

I do like this team better though, especially with a couple of players really stepping up their games recently.

An article on this site says that Vaughn was sick in the game against Kansas. If that's true then I'm surprised the team was as competitive as it was.

No I don't pay attention to the stupid stuff in the papers where people try to sugar coat it. Keep it real and take your scarlet glasses off.

Yea Reagan looks like they are really improving. Down 5 at half to Reno at home. Hahaha. And this all against teams in a MWC that sucks ass according to you. I think it is us that sucks ass. I don't know what crack you are on but let me know so I can have some. This upward trend is great. We lost our conference opener in a MWC that sucks ass, lost to Kansas by double digits and are losing to Reno of all teams in a MWC that "sucks ass" by 5 at half AT HOME!!!!!!! Yea quite an upward trend. They'll b lucky to beat sjsu at home. And I love watching this offensive juggernaut against a bottom feeder team in a conference that sucks ass. I think it is us that sucks ass and it is the usual story. Slow start because our team is never fired up to play from the tip off.
