Being reported that QB Stacy Conner has decommitted

Disappointing change of events.

Related to the Oblad commit? I doubt it, if he is already committing to BYU.

Decommit expected based upon Oblad. Also Conner's senior year performance well below average.

Joe Arrigo alluded to this in one of his live twitter reports, he is not the starting QB at his school. Might be a case of being a talented player that is lazy to get better. Oblad’s commitment digave him the assurance he needs.

What is really funny is that byu fans are acting like they have stolen him away from UNLV.. byu is on their way down and out.

Actually most are pissed they are now taking UNLV’s plan b or c

Recent rumblings suggest that CTS might have wanted to line Conner up somewhere other than QB...he apparently didn't like that too much.

BYU currently has 6 QBs on the roster. He’ll be running into this same problem in Provo.

UNLV and his high school team both weren't too sold on him playing QB. BYU doesn't sound so either, but got him to sign thinking he would be given the opportunity to play QB. Five bytes from the article linked above:
  • Conner said that he was recruited to BYU as a QB and considers himself a pocket quarterback
  • He does, however, have good athleticism, meaning he could potentially play another position if QB doesn’t pan out.
  • WR would be the likely alternative if Conner doesn’t play QB.
  • Conner is LDS, but ...has no plans to serve a mission.
  • He will enroll in BYU this upcoming Winter semester
