The effort to bring back the students and fans is one of the main reasons why Kruger is an upgrade over the last two coaches.

At UNLV a coach needs to be involved in fundraising (see Tony Sanchez) and engaging with the fans. Coaches don’t solely draw up plays and recruit. We aren’t at that level now.
I know that UNR is a rivalry game and a larger crowd is expected, but the student section hasn’t been that full for years.
