ASU hire UNLV Offense/QB coach

I would say no, considering that most of our offensive recruits look at Arroyo’s time at Oregon and the perception that he had a lot to do with Herberts development as a reason for them coming here. Also the fact that Arroyo is so hands on with the offense will play a major role in offensive guys deciding to come here.

I would be concerned if we lost our DC, but offensive assistants sting less.

Nope. These players ae here because of Arroyo's promise to chuck the ball around the field. OC does not share the same sentiment. Still wanted to be a run first offense. Then WR and QB additions were not coming here to block and hand the ball off 25-30 times/game.

Don't get me wrong, this is going to sting a bit because I think the OC had good game plans, but his leaving should not impact the incoming class.

Good lord, hopefully most are smart enough to know that Arroyo handcuffed Herberts development at UO. I watched almost everyone of Herberts games at UO and Arroyo couldnt have used him much worse than he did. Basically ran an offense the complete opposite of Herberts strengths.

Would like for Arroyo to consider Hunkie Cooper for OC. Especially since Arroyo is the de facto OC anyway. Most likely will bring in someone he’s familiar with, but would be awesome to get Cooper back to UNLV.

I’d like to see Hunkie at UNLV, when I moved into the dorms my first year at UNLV he was one of the first people I met, good guy. Rumone Hilton was also one of the first people I met, anyone remember him? Not a good guy.
