Arkansas State didn't look exactly great losing at home to SMU. Based on what I saw from that game, I definitely think UNLV has the ability to win against them on our home field!

We need to take care of business. Season can go a couple of different directions. Win next week, and it’s going the way it needs to.

It would certainly build some momentum.

Ark State will be a very good litmus test of where the Rebs are at.

Win it. Bowl chances go up significantly.

I don't care how they looked or didn't look... it really appears to be a "must win" for UNLV if they are going to have a chance at bowl eligibility. A loss next week really does force UNLV to pull a large upset against somebody in the following month and a half.... and I just don't see that happening. It's a huge game.

It's rare to have a 'must win' week two of the season but this kinda feels like it.

They win this game a 6 or 7+ win season becomes a real possibility.

Ark. St passed for 324 yds, but only rushed for 90 yds. SMU passed for 360 yds and rushed for 148 yds. Just my opinion, but these numbers dont seem to favor UNLV on both sides of the ball.

The Ark St game is not only a must win, it will also show us where this UNLV is really at. Ark St may be a little down this year, but they are a MWC-level opponent and they have finished in the top 85 in the computer rankings for the past 8 years, which would be as good as the upper half of the MWC programs are.
