Another 1 WR transfer MSU!

So we traded Jacoby Windmon to MSU for this guy?

Seems pretty fair. But seriously, this guy looks good, had a monster game against Michigan with 196 yards two years ago, and should be a starter this fall.

there is a slight chance we made a 2 for 1 trade with Windmon. Not a great chance but it's there.

I wonder who they think is gonna run the ball. Cause the every down back is either not on the roster yet, or we are going to exclusively be passing the ball in '22

I think they’ll add one, there isn’t a feature back right now, Green maybe the best of the bunch. But with Lex followed by Chuck, we had a few years of strong D1 runners. I really liked watching those guys.

Said this in another thread.

If they fix the Oline, the need for an elite running back lessens.

Game breakers like Chuck and Lex are a luxury...But not a necessity.

Broncos late 90s early 2000s were churning out a different 1k yard rusher seemingly every year. Their O-line and scheme were making afterthought guys from the draft into studs.

Don't get me wrong love to have a guy that is always a threat like Lex and Chuck...But don't need elite guys to be efficient in the run game..

A reverse example...Steelers drafted N. Harris an elite back and he struggled with YPC because the Oline was trash...

Oline is the biggest question mark...

After the big pick up for the QB and WR, and the way I was reading post, I was expecting a couple more big time transfers? It appears that it kind of fizzled out with some JC transfers to finish off the weekend! What do the rest of you think?

There was also the LB from FSU.

Still time....

Well, we've got a high end QB transfer, couple good WR transfers, linebacker, offensive tackle, so I'm guessing at what other positions would be huge. We could possible get a RB, as others have said, but maybe just as impactful would be some more big OL & DL guys, or cornerbacks to tighten up the defense.
I think that we get two more solid pickups. Guys that make you very optimistic about next season.

I love how Randy Masters was a fairly high level 3* recruit, and now rivals has dropped him to a 2* recruit!
I think there's an inherent bias in these situations. Recruit goes to UNLV they must not be as good as everyone thought... same recruit goes to bama they must be better than everyone thought. I also think there's a lot of laziness in the evaluations. Whoever is responsible for the rankings I seriously doubt watched tape on all the players. A lot of times they just base their evaluation on various camp performances.

Masters had an amazing season in football, was recruited by dozens of high level program, every other rating system has him much higher rated, and magically he took a ratings dump with Rivals? No doubt if he had gone to Auburn or another SEC football program, they would have moved him up to a 4* rating!
