was turned down by the NCAA for a waiver to play this season. #UNLVfb is appealing the decision, but it's doubtful that he gets cleared.

Gamon Howard was a San Francisco City college transfer. He shouldn’t have any problems with the NCAA transfer rules, therefore it had to be something else (like he left the team for personal reasons, or something like that)

Both are listed with full bios in the media guide that the program just released, so sounds like they are still with the program. Houston had academic honors his freshman season, so odd that this happened. Along with losing freshman DB Fiasau our defensive secondary depth is getting very sketchy.

The last couple of weeks have started to look much better for UNLV with transfers approved to play and a much better practice for Armani. Maybe we will still be able to hold our heads up half way through the season and even start to think about a bowl game! GATA!

Great news re. Ali-Walsh. Don't know about a crowded backfield: CW, Magyar, and a handful of whodats. Am I missing key personnel?

Not, really but there are some guys like Courtney Reese who have performed well. JUCO transfer (name escapes me at the moment) has been good. Staff really seems to like Magyar.

For whatever reason Hollandsworth seems to have fallen down the depth chart.

I don't mean this as a dig at the player. Just putting this out here for perspective.

Walsh has 4 career carries for 9 yards. He has talent no doubt. I actually think he will be a productive guy. But he's been no more or less productive than anybody else on the roster.
