Both AZ schools plus Utah and Colorado are working on joining the Big 12 ASAP! Notices of Intent are being sent from all 4 schools and should become public very soon. I recommend giving MHver3 a follow as he seems to get information very quickly.

None of the school is UNLV. Why? Because the cash cow is still the cash cow for the conference. Whipped out your nibbles and ready to feed those assholes$

First, any decisions by the P5 leagues will very likely be made soon, allowing for little action by UNLV.
Second, the big guys see a football program that does not draw P5 size crowds. The fan base stands by waiting for a miracle donor, who is willing to invest millions in a program that has a winning season every decade or so.
Third, they see a basketball program that, while they may be improving, again plays to small crowds. Fan whine that it is not 1990 and spend their effort incessantly bemoaning the past mistakes, and refusing to attend until the team js "good" again.
Third, TV market? Lots of viewers available but refer to the interest level cited above.

Even this fan site has a vast majority of posts that are negative. Including this one. I do plead justifiable frustration, having been a season ticket holder and donor for 50 years.

So, no, I think UNLV will be playing for a less-than-P5 conference. Wish to hell I also wrong, though.

Finally, I again believe the PAC will pick up SDSU and Fresno, after losing Oregon, Washington. Arizona. ASU, Utah, and Colorado. UNLV could join a "remnants" conference.

That conference of remnants would be alot better than the MWC

We’re joining the American Conference.

meow, I wish I had Craig Thompson’s job lol

This actually may not be a bad thing.

From what I’m hearing Oregon and Washington want more revenue than the rest of the pac 12. Big 12 is not going to do that.

Utah, AZ schools and Colorado are not happy with this shift of potential future money in the pac.

Cal and Stanford are standing idle as they care more about academics.

So it may end being a new pac 12 with Oregon and Washington getting more revenue.

Sounds like San Diego st and SMU are the clear top invites if that occurs.

Then maybe the rest are Fresno, UNLV, Boise and Col. St.
