Best win of the season so far. Oregon is a good team with good athletes and will definitely be in the tourney this year.
3 things I really liked that show real improvement in key areas:
1. I loved that CDR limited Jones and Cornish when it was clear they were not going to contribute tonight. Jones, I believe, was just having an off night. I have no idea what the hell Cornish is trying to do...(focus on non-scoring contribution instead of jacking 25 footers maybe?)
Much better substitutions tonight.
2. Zimm and Carter were more involved in the offense. Guards worked it into them. It created much better spacing and movement on offense the entire night. Helped with getting Oregon in foul trouble. I want to see more of this. If Zimm will learn t finish around the rim (YOU GOTTA DUNK THAT S***!!) it gets even better.
3. We busted the zone quickly and Oregon never wanted to go back. I guess when you shoot 50% from the 3pt line it tests your commitment to the zone
. Swagger in 1st half. Nwamu is settling in nicely and Seagars back was huge.
All in all, best game of year so far by a wide margin. Exactly when we needed it.
