Just checked, Westgate has us -16 for Friday night's game vs a struggling NM team.

The Lobos statistically field a decent defense, yet their Offense is non-existent (possibly the worst in Division 1).

Reb's need to stay focused and not feel overconfident (or look ahead at the next five games on the schedule); we don't need a nailbiter

Hopefully, Williams and Weimer return, and Coach keeps his foot on the gas.

A 16 point favorite over a FBS team? A 16 point favorite over a MW conference opponent? I don’t care how bad the Lobos are I don’t ever remember a line like this for UNLV. The bookies believe the Rebels are legit.

Danny Gonzales is a Rocky Long disciple. Lobos run a 3-3-5 defense that brings pressure from everywhere. Coverages are often hard for QBs to navigate.

I think the Rebs will win. I think they will likely cover the spread.

But this game might be a slog especially early on.

UNM beat UTEP, who just handled Boise State.

UNM lost by a sizable margin to Boise but that game didn't get out of hand until the 4th quarter.

They are not all that athletic, but they may prove to be a tougher out for people than most would think.

We shouldn’t. Deep WR bench. Also, I think running the ball and putting Robbins in positions against smaller DB in a 3-3-5 is going to make for some long runs. I’d run it 45+ times. We have the horses for it

They are decent against the run, but yeah I would lean heavily on run game and try and wear them down.

That 3-3-5 gives QBs a lot of problems. They disguise coverages well. They bring a lot of different pressures. They are a little small up front simply because of the nature/construction of the defense. But they flow to the ball well..

They lost 38-0 (?) to LSU.

At first glance you think defense can't be that good.

Until you realize their (UNM) offense mustered something like 100 total yards. They were on the field a ton. It could have, probably should have been even worse.

I think Rebs will cover. But I'm not sure it will be easy..
