Seven early entry losers, UNLV #6

Zimmerman does everything better than Wood on offense..

Vaughn is super talented scorer but you bring back a consistent combo like McCaw, a serviceable 3 point specialist like the guy with the beard.

I think Rice did a fine job plugging in the holes

It seems we have gotten used to saying even though we lost so and so we should be fine. With Wood, I actually do believe it. You can't win at a level we want with your best player only giving full effort at certain times.

Vaughn going we will feel, if only because McCaw will be a helluva lot more noticeable to the other teams defense.

Still so many ifs. We need continuity more than anything else.

Theres a 0% chance that Rashad Vaughn and Chris Wood not being here next year make our team "better". I would agree we will probably have a better record next year but it wont be as good as if we had them both for another year

Need a shooter for sure. Wish Vaughn stayed. Hope it all works out for Vaughn but, think he would have really increased his stock and been in the guarantee money next year. First round! I'm sure his talent will get him in the league, but staying another year think would have paid off for him.

I don't agree. The difference I think will be in a better cohesive team, than one that features too much individual efforts. I don't question the level of talent we have lost, just that sometimes it takes players who understand what and how to work together, than a team with a couple of stars.

Yeah I agree, both were highly skilled offensive talents... I would also add that the defensive effort level both RV and CW displayed will not be missed. Personally I like my rebels to play with more energy and passion. Sadly I think the hard working players like Rosegreens and Amundsen are far and few between these days. Too much AAU entitlement. That's my Guess.

I think Carter, Zimmerman, McCaw, Cornish and Morgan are some throw back players like Amundsen and Rosegreen. The key this year is CDR and staff. I think he has learned a lot and now has a clear idea of what it takes. Nothing can replace experience.

Thinking about a team that looks for the easy basket, with Carter and Zimmerman showing how it's done is a very exciting prospect. No doubt there's hard work ahead, but I think this group wants it.

Will see. Heard the same thing after the prior season as well. Again though, no shortage of talent on the court. Same staff on the bench. Another year hoping it can all come together.

From what I saw of Vaughan, he was going to dominate college hoops this year. Shame he bolted so soon but the worshop is far from empty. Time to put some trophies in the cabinet! It's been a long time coming.
